LACH DIAMANT will feature
Diamond and CBN Tools and Grinding Wheels
as well as Machines for Superior CNC Production

Single-point diamond dressers, ground profile and copy diamonds are the traditional products of LACH DIAMANT, a family business founded in Hanau, Germany, in 1922.

50 years of establishing industry-specific expertise were paralleled by the development of synthetic diamonds. One example for top-notch developments is the production of diamond grinding wheels (K-MC) with metal-coated diamonds. Other examples are:

– 1967 – Hard metal grinding or the development of the first CBN BorazonTM grinding wheels (K-MX)

– 1969 – Grinding of high-alloyed hardened steel and HSS.

Polycrystalline diamonds (PCD) provided new challenges in 1973 – which is also true for the development of CVD and mono diamonds.

It was the patent application or rather the invention of spark erosion in 1968 that lead to those developments. Based on this invention is the universal spark erosion machine »Dia-2200-mini« – which will be presented at GrindTec in April.

Modern PCD diamond tools, milling cutters and forming tools for aluminium, wood and plastic machining would also be unconceivable without this discovery.

LACH DIAMANT will demonstrate other superior diamond tools at GrindTec, e.g. »Dia-Fliese-perfect« – a diamond dressing plate that exceeds standard diamond plates in its performance and stability – and the precision diamond dressing roll drebojet®-plus, initially developed for the profiling of CNC grinding wheels.

Visitors can see all newly developed diamond and CBN grinding wheels (and more!) in hall 1, stand 1052 and get a first-hand impression of the excellent performance and high efficiency of both ceramic and hybrid bonds.

It is definitely worth visiting LACH DIAMANT at GrindTec.
