The cylindrical grinding process must fulfill a wide range of requirements: from high speed machining to extreme finish like e.g. in mirror grinding.
External cylindrical grinding distinguishes between plunge grinding and peel-grinding.
The constantly increasing requirements in mechanical engineering and automotive industry demand ever new variants in the grinding wheel composition. Thus, there is a multitude of grinding wheels with different dimensions, grain sizes, concentrations and support systems which can be manufactured in various versions. The application determines the grinding wheel.
Standard wheels for external cylindrical grinding are available from stock – the product range is complemented by tailor-made wheels based on customer specification and application.
External cylindrical grinding can be found in the following sectors: automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, roller bearing industries, engine and turbine construction as well as in workshops with general grinding tasks.
