In contrast to the cylindrical grinding process, flat grinding allows the processing of considerably larger contact surfaces. For this operation LACH DIAMANT recommends grinding wheels with lower hardness as well as sufficient cooling lubricant supply. Particular attention is paid to the grinding wheel body.
Tool bodies have significant influence on the grinding result. Especially for high performance flat grinding the vibration-reducing variant “V-Silent” achieves excellent results.
