LACH DIAMANT at the AMB 2014:

A new generation of HSG grinding wheels for cylindrical grinding (Peel grinding)

The newly developed LACH diamond and CBN grinding wheels are manufactured with two abrasive layers which enable the complete peel grinding operation namely roughing and finishing in a single work step.

The novel grinding wheels with two abrasive layers and adapted specification are capable to fulfil the requirements for accuracy and surface quality. At the same time the processing time is reduced by 50%.

In use on high speed cylindrical grinding machines such as JUNKER, SCHAUDT MIKROSA, REINECKER and STUDER with grinding speeds from 60 m/s to 180 m/s these special grinding wheels deploy their full efficiency.

The metallic or ceramic bonds assure a safe and constant grinding process paired with long service life.

Depending on the provided grinding conditions and the specified requirements, these grinding wheels are manufactured with different bodies. As a rule, the grinding wheels in standard execution have a steel body or steel body with vibration damping grooves or a fibre composite body as special design.
