EMO 2013: 40 Years Polycrystalline Diamond Tools

LACH DIAMANT at the EMO 2013 in Hanover
– for example 40 Years Polycrystalline Diamond

Another notable year for the company –

While in 2012 we celebrated our company‘s 90th anniversary, another anniversary takes place this year and thereby a new reason to celebrate:

40 Years of pioneering achievement worldwide in the development of
polycrystalline diamond tools

At the Hanover Spring Fair in 1973 LACH DIAMANT for the first time introduced a PCD tool for the turning of aluminium parts with interrupted cut. This was accomplished in a dry cut mode with an infeed of max. 3.4 mm. (A higher infeed was not possible because at that time the PCD blanks from General Electric had a maximum diameter of 3.5 mm).

This demonstration was a sensation for the trade show visitors at that time.

The triumphant success of polycrystalline diamond tools, accompanied by the tireless pioneering work of LACH DIAMANT, took its course and continues today – after 40 years.

In 1973 the manufacturers of copper commutators for the electric motors industry quickly recognized the economic and quality improving properties of PCD tools, and the automobile and plastic industries, wood and fibre composite industries, aircraft and wind turbine industries applied these PCD tools in ever shorter intervals.

At the LACH DIAMANT stand at the EMO from September 16 to 21, 2013, in hall 4 – stand D33 – you, the visitor, will be able to see the traditional PCD cutting tools for turning, drilling, milling, but also will be introduced to new developments under our slogan „Future for Today” from which you can profit already today.

LACH DIAMANT invites you to this „Excursion trip” and is happy to clink the glasses with you for yet another anniversary.
