100 anniversary of LACH DIAMANT at the AMB in Stuttgart

LACH DIAMANT was founded in 1922 in Hanau am Main, formerly known as the “City of Fine Jewellery”, as a diamond cutting shop for the production of brilliant-cut diamonds.

Today it is run as a family business in the second and third generation by Horst and Robert Lach with the assistance of Iris, Annabelle and Denise Lach.

From a refoundation in the 1930’s “Deutscher Industrie-Diamant Vertrieb Jakob Lach”, the present business purpose of “LACH DIAMANT” developed in the 1950’s – the production and development of high-performance diamond and CBN tools/grinding wheels “Made in Germany” for the industry.

Today, LACH DIAMANT is a pioneer and worldwide leader in many areas of diamond and CBN tools and their manufacturing – such as 1969 the development and manufacturing of the first CBN-Borazon® grinding wheels for grinding high-alloy hardened steels and HSS tools.

1973 Development and production of the first polycrystalline cutting tools (PCD) for interrupted cut turning of aluminum and copper (e.g., for copper collectors for electric motors).

1974 Presentation of the first CBN cutting tools for turning high-alloy steels and spray-on materials.

Not to forget the discovery of spark erosion by Horst Lach in 1978 (European patent), which allowed the economical production of rotary polycrystalline tools such as milling cutters and saws for the machining of aluminum and wood/composite materials in the automotive, components, furniture, flooring, aircraft, and wind power industries.

At the AMB in Stuttgart, LACH DIAMANT will present everything from its rich history – and thus tradition – passion – innovation which characterizes the company and all its employees.

New for grinding and presented with great success at the GrindingHub trade fair that recently ended – is the quasi renaissance of metal-bonded grinding wheels:

Diamond and CBN grinding wheels

On purpose we have put a “crown” on the attached picture of an extraordinary, shaped profile grinding wheel; what you can expect from »contour-profiled« for cost reduction and even more performance in serial production, you will find out among others at the AMB at the booth of 100 years LACH DIAMANT or already in advance under the link https://bit.ly/3Aqy6WG

Clearly, there is a lot to celebrate at LACH DIAMANT beyond that – you are cordially invited to celebrate with us.
