Diamond and CBN Grinding Wheels and Pins for Internal Cylindrical Grinding
The little helpers for tool construction

At the Hanover Spring Fair in 1969, LACH DIAMANT presented for the first time a new medium for grinding high-alloyed hardened steels and HSS. Even back then, a complete programme of standardized electro-plated grinding wheels and pins for internal cylindrical grinding was offered under the name G-MX.

Until then, tool manufacturers had only known diamond coated pins, e.g. for coordinate grinding machines, and had used them for example for grinding carbide matrices. Today, in 2016, grinding pins and internal cylindrical wheels are also available in resin and ceramic bonds.
