LACH DIAMANT at the AMB in Stuttgart from September 18 to 22, 2012 Hall C2 – Booth 2 B 14 Demonstration of the new technology »Cool Injection« for better productivity of heavy-duty cutting with LACH PCD Tools – a World Innovation!

First of all the statement of the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Horst Lach about this subject:

„Yes, I go so far as to state that we made the diamond even harder with this development. In the future, to efficiently machine steel, cast iron and even titanium with diamond, the hardest material in the world will become feasible”. Up to now this was considered impossible. »Cool Injection« – Cooling directs the coolant, even with minimum coolants (MMS), liquid or gaseous (for example Co2) to a point, namely directly through the PCD cutting edge to the just created hot chip. By the present state of technology the coolant channel in tools designed for inside cooling ended in front of the cutting edge. »Cool Injection«, however, lengthens the cooling channel and directs the coolant outlet into an orifice of the PCD cutting edge resulting in optimum cooling and protection of diamond and workpiece. Additionally it makes an ideal chip breaker. »Cool Injection« – Cooling to a point bodes well for a significant future of coolants such as Co2 for the cutting of cast iron, steel, titanium and abrasive composite material. The 90 years old company LACH DIAMANT in Hanau is presenting further new developments and proven products for the automobile and aerospace industries, wind power plants, tool and machine builders. We will be pleased to inform you and look forward to welcome you at the AMB in Stuttgart or go to www.lach-diamant.de.
