LACH DIAMANT Celebrates 95 Years of Success
1922 – 2017
From Traditional Beginnings to Innovative Production of Diamond Tools

“When I founded my diamond grindery in 1922, I never would have thought that LACH DIAMANT would one day be a pioneer in the manufacturing of diamond tools…”
aid Jakob Lach, the founder of LACH DIAMANT, in the early 80s.

Even today, LACH DIAMANT maintains the tradition of grinding diamonds – for example for dressing and profiling of conventional grinding wheels; the historical business segment of “jewellery diamond grinding” had its heyday, with 600 employed diamond grinders, at the end of the 30s.

The development of the polycrystalline diamonds have directly or indirectly influenced our daily life since the end of the 50s until today. Examples are technological advances in the automobile, aircraft and wind engine industries as well as in manufacturing of furniture and wood parquet flooring.

All of the above developments are closely connected to the name LACH DIAMANT, a worldwide renowned pioneer for inventions and innovations.

In its anniversary year 2017, LACH DIAMANT will exhibit at EMO in Hannover, the largest European trade show for tools and tooling machines, and the company will present how LACH DIAMANT tools and grinding wheels have accelerated many technical innovations during the last fifty years.

To this day, LACH DIAMANT is still a family-owned company, in the second and third generation, managed by Horst Lach and Dipl.-Ing. Robert Lach – assisted by Iris, Annabelle and Denise Lach – with headquarters in Hanau and a manufacturing shop in Lichtenau near Chemnitz.

LACH DIAMOND INC., Grand Rapids, Michigan, looks back on 35 years of qualified service and »state-of-the-art« manufacturing for customers in North America and Canada.
