data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>PCD (polycrystalline diamond) consists of diamond crystals which are sintered into a bond matrix (cobalt or tungsten) at high pressure and at high temperatures. Between the individual crystals there is a metal binding phase <span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">which is mainly applied to carbide body. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">Due to the random diamond orientation the PCD layer is formed as an isotropic body which has no preferred cut direction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>PCD closely approximates to a monocrystaline diamond in terms of hardness and its abrasion resistance outperforms carbide by a hundredfold. <\/p>\n<p>Turning tools with polycrystalline diamond (PCD) cutting edges are successfully used for the procressing of aluminium, <span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-size: 24px;\">non-ferrous metals and composite materials, preferably in series production and for abrasive materials.<\/span> <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ce15f28\" data-id=\"ce15f28\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-181c9f9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"181c9f9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">CVD<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1cde626 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1cde626\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div>Like PCD CVD is a mixture of a binding agent and diamond. With a ratio of 0,1% binding agent and 99,9% diamond a significantly higher hardness, thermal conductivity and improved cutting edges are obtained. <br \/>The ultra hard cutting material CVD (2,5 times harder than PCD) is most frequently used for processing aluminium and magnesium alloys as well as for non-ferrous metals. Due to the absence of a direction of growth, CVD is considerably tougher than MCD. This is why today CVD tools are mostly used in dressing technology. Turning or milling is not a problem for CBN cutting inserts because this cutting material has an extremely high thermal hardness.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-d121b3c\" data-id=\"d121b3c\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7d486fa elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7d486fa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">MCD<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1bc640 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d1bc640\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>MCD is very similar to natural diamond. Both have the same physical properties and an octahedral growth. Similar to synthetic diamonds MCD are made of graphite using the high-pressure and high-temperature process. <br \/>MCDs are synthetically produced diamond blocks which are shaped to rods by sawing or cutting. Here the cutting direction runs along the direction of growth of the diamond.<br \/>Due to the production process MCDs have a direction of growth. <\/p>\n<p>After the edge calibration by cutting or sawing, the rods are cut to the corresponding length.<br \/>Due to the direction of growth, please make sure that the rods are correctly fitted in the dressing tool. Depending on the MCD manufacturer, the wear resistance is higher when using a linear or rhombic mounting
